DISSECTING THE 'TOON:

First I found an image of a New York Times newspaper for my background. I edited out the date and headline, replacing them with ones that fit the topic. Then I used the gaussian blur tool to make the text of the article illegible (after all, the print from the stock photo was from another article).

Then I found a picture of Abu Hamza al-Masri and cropped the background. I flipped the image horizontally so that he would be facing left and the headline could be read.


Finally, I added a newspaper that Abu Hamza could be reading and inserted my word balloon and text.

And here is the final result:

And that's how I created this week's PolyTicks® cartoon.
